Prince lives in St. George, UT [USA] and is married to Joni Prince.  They have five children and six grandchildren (as of November, 2010).  Jon was born in northern California and raised in Davis, CA.  Jon served as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Mormons) from 1975 to 1977 in Cali, Colombia (South America) and is fluent in Spanish as a second language.  He graduated with AA (General Studies) and BS degrees (Finance) from Brigham Young University (1975, 1979) and from the University of Utah’s Graduate School of Business Management (MBA in 1980).  Prior to relocating from Virginia to southern Utah, the Prince’s have lived in Orem and in Salt Lake City, UT, in Mercerville, NJ, and in Herndon, VA.

Jon worked at Freddie Mac (aka The Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation) in McLean, Virginia, for 18 years.  He has spent his entire career in the US residential housing market.  At Freddie Mac, Jon was most recently Vice President of Investor Relations and called upon investors of Freddie Mac’s marketable securities (Stocks, Bonds, and MBS) in the USA and throughout the world.

Since leaving Freddie Mac in 2007, Jon develops real estate in the US southwest with his father, Merl Prince, under the name of their family company, Sego Capital LLC.  The name for Sego Capital is taken from the Utah state flower, the Sego Lily.  Jon and Merl have partnered with a general contractor, Kevin DeMille of Hurricane, UT, who is the manager of all Sego’s residential housing projects.  Sego is also a minority investor with Goodboro LLC in various projects located in Utah.

Prior to working at Freddie Mac, Jon worked at Merrill Lynch as a mortgage trader in Manhattan, NY.  He has worked at Savings & Loan associations, Mortgage companies and a consulting practice since leaving graduate school in 1980.
